Hey guys! So it’s been longer than usual since my last post, and for that I want to say sorry. Really, from the bottom of my heart. I love running this blog, and I promise I am not losing interest. This has just been a crazy time for me, but I fully intend to commit to posting here twice a week from here on in!
Anyway, I wanted to talk a bit about my Christmas decorating. I had absolutely no money left this year for Christmas decorations. I love Christmas, and I desperately wanted to decorate, so I ended up asking my mum to send out some old decorations from home. She did, and she even went out and bought a few things just for me, because as I have said in a few posts before, she is the actual best. Anyway, what this means is that none of my decorations have any sort of flow about them, and I wasn’t able to go with a colour theme, but I think I’ve managed to make a very happy, Christmasy apartment anyway!
So I can’t really tell you where I got a lot of this stuff, as it’s either from years ago or my mum got it for me. All of my favourite Christmas scented candles have been from Chapters this year, and if I had the money, all of my Christmas throw pillows, throw blankets, treats, etc would be from there too. If you are on a limited budget like me, try talking to family members to see if they have any decorations they don’t use anymore….after 40 years of Christmases, a lot of people have piles of unused decorations they would be glad to get rid of. Otherwise, have a look around for some DIY decoration ideas. I might try one or two of those myself, if I find time around exams! I will be baking Christmas cookies soon (note my unused Christmas platters), so look forward to that post coming soon!
I’d love to hear some of your tips on decorating on a budget. Any favourite DIY christmas decorations? If you liked this post, go ahead and give it a like, then head over to my facebook, twitter, and instagram for more fun updates and posts!
